Re-Build Garage – Little Preston

The Brief:
To re-build garage after fire damage.

The Property:
3 bedroom detached, Little Preston, Daventry.

The work:
Unfortunately this property suffered the effects of a house fire from a pottery kiln that was used in the garage. The new owner wished for the garage to be re-built and MG Carpentry & Building Services was contracted to do so.

The main part of the building had to be demolished as it was unsafe but thankfully, the footings to the building were okay and after inspection were deemed satisfactory to build on by the local Building Control Officer. We constructed the two skins of block work and fitted the new roof timbers.

The external block work to the garage is to be rendered by our plasterers when completed.

This particular client was hands on with this project; they felted the flat roof, and completed the internal works to their garage / workshop.

Please take a look at the gallery to see what was achieved and don’t forget to contact us if you require similar works or advice on any upcoming improvements in your home.

Breakdown of works:
To excavate trial hole to allow for inspection of footings.
Re-built both internal & external block work to garage / workshop.
Supplied and fitted all flat roof timbers.
Fitted, client supplied re-claimed, timber garage doors.
